Seriously. What the hell is up with all the bad cartoons? I'm very upset. But not that upset, because you see I don't really watch them. BUT maybe if they didn't SUCK I WOULD. Geezus. No wonder little kids today are so stupid. They sit there and watch these crappy shows, one after another all day. I mean, a cartoon can be funny and have a story, whilest being colorful AND product endorsing - which is really what the industry needs these days. They're just not even trying anymore. That's also why you don't see witty cartoons like Bugs Bunny on every other hour like back in the day. It makes me sad.
And yet, somehow glad that I was a child of the early 90's: the real golden age of cartooning.

Ooo... gummi bears... transformers... Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... my favorite was spiderman tough. I was like eight or ten or something when I watched it. Recently found it again and rewatched it. Now there's a nostalgia trip. Oh well. When I get a kid imma show him all the good stuff. Samurai Jack. That show that I don't know the name of with the pink elephant guy and the scarecrow... Spiderman!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was the best! I used to watch that too. Hey maybe you can answer this: how come they were all named after Renaissance artists?

Hmmm... I think Splinter found a history book about them in the sewers or something and decided to name them after them. Not entirely sure tough... gads it was a long time ago.

oh, I hear you. :(
i hate the fact that cartoons stopped being cartoons. that`s why I adore older ones and new cartoons that have standards. (Howl`s moving castle, anyone? :) )
And i`m a sucker for that show with imaginary friends on cartoon network. And Corto Malthese, even if the episodes last only for 20 minutes... and oh, The triplettes of Belleville... :tears in eyes:
okay, I`ll stop now.
my kid will watch cartoons on the dvd player, definetly. :)

Not yet twenty and already feeling old? Poor you.

At 56 (and with both parents still alive, which means I'm still a generation away from the grave I guess) my life is fun... and I don't even have a TV. I do have a radio, but maybe the radio programs are less stupid this side of the Atlantic? I don't rightly know.

I've read an interesting quote in a sig recently: «The goal is to die young as late as possible.»
